The Guard Code

May all who join our ranks obey and live by this code of conduct, so as to better serve the Guard and all of Dereth.

Guard the weak.

The keystone of our allegiance is that we will protect all of Dereth, with neither favor nor prejudice towards any.

Be always willing to give of yourself to help another.

Those who give selflessly are always among friends. And, when you are in need, the assistance will flow towards you.

Be ready to help the Guard.

When another Guardsman is in trouble, offer your help in anyway. The highest officer to the newest member is expected to give assistance.

Speak with respect to friend and foe alike.

Do not mock or belittle another, and be willing to give advice to all who ask. Do not assume another's intelligence has anything to do with level. All are equals here.

Let your word be your bond.

Honesty in all things must be maintained. Never lie, steal or cheat.

Destroy the Shadow of Evil with the Light of Justice.

When ever you see injustice done, do your best to correct it.

Use your mind before your sword.

Sometimes the best warriors are the ones who don't fight at all.

Honor the land, sky, and sea.

Without them, we have no place to live.
